Plans and prices

• Free Standard: ₦0. Read, comment, book and buy. No publishing.
• Free Basic: ₦0. Publish and earn. Commission is highest here.
• Pro: ₦5,000/month, or ₦50,000 a year (two months free).
• Business: ₦25,000/month, or ₦250,000 a year (two months free). Includes the verified badge, your own domain, and four team seats.
• Enterprise: Starting from ₦55,000+/month. Rates and seats are agreed with us; contact us.

Free trials: you can try Pro and Business free for 15 days each, with no card, from Pricing (a verified email is needed). Each plan can be tried once. When a trial ends you're back on the plan you pay for, or Free Basic, and everything you published stays. To try another plan after a trial, pay for a plan first: a paid plan has to come between two free trials. You can upgrade or downgrade by paying at any time. Add-ons (such as logistics) have a one-time free trial of up to 15 days too.

Courses (Notes Academy): free courses are free to publish on every publishing plan. Certificates on free courses are paid: the learner pays from ₦999 plus the margin the teacher sets. Paid courses: on Pro with text lessons, PDFs and YouTube, and on Business and Enterprise with uploaded videos too, with the same fee as digital items. For organisations, two packages sit on top of Enterprise: Enterprise Courses at ₦100,000 a month, and the Enterprise Academy API from ₦250,000 a month plus usage. The regular Enterprise price stays as it is for anyone who takes neither.

Quizzes: tutors can add quizzes with a pass mark to any course, free or paid, on every plan that can teach; see Teaching and learning on Notes Academy.

Codes, referrals and affiliates: under Pro or Business on the pricing page, Have a discount code? takes a #NotesApp plan code off your first payment, or takes a member's referral code for a first month free (a month off a yearly plan); see Discount codes and coupons. Every publishing plan can make its own discount codes, and every member can earn from referrals and the affiliate marketplace.

Communities: giving has no commission, only a charge like a bank transfer; paid event tickets carry your plan's usual commission.

Coming as paid add-ons: The Team hub, company finance tools, the investor and partner data room and advertising on LinkedIn from #NotesApp are being tested by our own team, and will be offered as paid add-ons for Business and Enterprise once that testing is done. There are no prices or dates yet; see Paid add-ons for Business and Enterprise.

Paid plans renew automatically through Paystack, monthly or yearly. Cancel any time under Rates & payouts and you keep the plan until the period you paid for ends; there are no partial refunds. Every price and difference is on the pricing page.
