Referrals and affiliates

Your link: go to Account → Referrals (/profile/referrals) and copy your link (it looks like `/r/yourname`). Verify your email first: links only earn for verified members.

Your code: the same page shows your code, which is your username in capitals. A friend can type it under Have a discount code? when they choose a plan, instead of using your link; it counts the same. If a friend uses your code and someone else's link, the first one recorded wins.

What a friend gets: if they join through your link within 30 days, their first month of Pro or Business is free. They add a card, which is checked with ₦100 that is given straight back, and the plan is billed from the second month. On a yearly plan they get one month's value off the first year instead.

What you earn on plans: 20% of what your friend pays for their plan, every payment, for 12 months from their first real payment. Nothing is earned on the free month.

Promote products (affiliates): open the affiliate marketplace (/affiliates) to see shop items, downloads and courses whose publishers pay a share. Choose Get my link on any of them and share it: anyone who buys through it within 30 days earns you that share of what they paid (after any discount code). You can't earn on your own purchases, or on your own products.

For publishers: under Account → Referrals, set a share (up to 50%) on any shop item on sale here, download or paid course. It goes on the marketplace at once; set 0 to take it off. The share comes out of your part of the sale, and #NotesApp's commission is worked out as usual.

Getting paid: earnings wait 7 days (14 for delivered shop items) so payments can clear; a refund takes back what it earned. Then take them as cash to your bank account, from ₦2,000 (add one on the Referrals page if you don't sell), or as NotesApp Credit with 10% more, any amount.

Fair play: there's no monthly cap. If someone's earnings jump suddenly, our team checks before they're paid, and links used to refer yourself or fake accounts are taken back.

Affiliate codes: a publisher can also let affiliates share one of their discount codes as their own; see Discount codes and coupons. Publishers: Store selling has the short version.
