Links and @mentions
Links: type a web address anywhere you write on #NotesApp (a journal, a comment or reply, a message, a moment caption, a review, a recommendation, your bio or Notes Life chat) and it becomes a link people can tap. It works with full addresses (https://…), www.… and plain names such as candelluximperialhotel.com. In Messages, a message with a web address shows a preview card under it: the page's picture, title and description.
@mentions: type @ and the first letters of someone's username, and #NotesApp suggests matching members. Pick one with the arrow keys and Enter (or Tab), or tap it; Esc closes the list. Wherever it shows, @username is a link to that person's profile.
Who gets told: when you @mention someone in a comment or reply, a published journal, a moment, a store review or a seller's reply, or a recommendation (once the person it's about approves it), they get a notification in their bell with a few words around the mention and a link to it. Each person is told once for each thing, so editing a comment or a journal only tells people you newly mention. Nobody is told about mentioning themselves, and if either of you has blocked the other, no notification goes. Mentions in messages, group chats and Notes Life chat never notify anyone: those are conversations, and a mention there doesn't pull anyone in. Up to 10 people are told per comment, journal or moment.
