Followers, following and online status

Followers and following: under the follower count on every profile are Followers and Following. Open either to see the people and organisations, 30 at a time. You must be signed in. You can see someone's lists only if they have made their lists visible and you have yours visible too; your own lists are always visible to you. Follower counts stay public.

Online and last seen: on Messages, in a conversation and on profiles you can see whether someone is Online now or when they were last seen, but only for people who follow you and whom you follow back. It updates about every three minutes. "Last seen: not recorded yet" means they haven't opened NotesApp since this was switched on.

Your two switches (both on to start with) are under Account settings and in your message settings on Messages: *Show when I'm online and when I was last seen*, and *Let signed-in members see who follows me and who I follow*. The rule is the same for both: if you switch yours off, you can't see other people's either. On the rest of NotesApp: a "Need a 5-minute break?" card about Notes Life shows in the journal feed at most twice a day (✕ hides it for a week), with the people you follow who play. On a profile, store or course page you may see 🎮 Plays Notes Life: only between people who follow each other, and only if that person keeps Show that I play Notes Life on. Both switches are in Account → Privacy; in teen mode both are off and nobody is shown as a player to or about a teen.
