Choosing your interests and topics

Your interests: go to Choose your interests and pick the topics you want to read about (up to 12, at least 3 makes a good feed). Journals on them come first in your feed, under For you, and in your weekly digest. Change them any time.

Topics on a journal: when you write, pick up to 3 topics from the list (search it, or tap a hashtag). Readers who chose those topics see your journal first. You can add your own hashtags too, such as #SideHustle; they're tidied as you type and show at the end of the journal.

Nana's suggestions: once you've typed a title, Nana suggests topics and subtopics for it, such as #Tech › #ITSupport. Swipe a suggestion right (or tap it) to add it, and swipe it left (or tap its ✕) to remove it from the list; Undo shows for a few seconds after you remove one. On a computer, drag with the mouse or use the ✕; with a keyboard, Enter adds and Delete removes. Removed suggestions stay away for that title, even after a reload, until you tap Refresh. Add all adds the rest; nothing is added until you choose. Ones marked NEW don't exist yet and are created when you save. A journal can have up to 3 subtopics, which show as hashtags with the others. Courses get the same suggestions from their title and summary, and Market items get a suggested category and subcategory (Shoes & bags › Tote bags), swiped the same way. On a course, under What learners will learn, tap Nana: suggest lines from the title and summary for lines you can swipe into it and into Requirements. Suggestions are free and don't use your Nana allowance.

Browsing: the Topics tab on Journals groups every topic that has journals, with yours first. Tap a hashtag at the end of a journal to see more on that topic.
